Constructing a space elevator is a good solution, but it's no easy task.
Firstly, the technical challenges have to be addressed, which might not be difficult for Anderes, then comes the financing issues.
An estimate for a space elevator reaching beyond the Earth's atmosphere would cost over fifteen trillion US dollars... This colossal sum is nearly impossible to secure not only for the present Anderes, but also even for the only superpower of today's world, the United States. It is impossible to pass this through Congress as a budget item.
Lastly, the construction of a space elevator would inevitably face numerous political issues. Choosing to build the space elevator at the equator would definitely bring interference from the US Government and dissatisfaction from other countries. To solve this ultimate political challenge is even more difficult than raising fifteen trillion US dollars.
