The sharp cries of terror filled the air. Young men and women, who mere moments ago were leisurely lounging on the beach and frolicking in the waves, now ran wildly towards the shore; the suddenness of the situation left everyone speechless.
The horrifying screams from the shore started even before the unknown creatures could make landfall. A large part of the screams were not out of fear of the creatures, but rather due to the mass panic causing people to fall and get trampled over, eliciting their cries of pain.
The crowd moved frantically, not caring if those around them were men or women. The biggest stroke of luck at this point was simply to escape from this place.
