Xia Xinyu wanted to persuade him further, but then Grandpa pointed at the wine jug and reminded her, "Xinyu, pour some wine for your husband."
Without a choice, Xia Xinyu heaved an inward sigh, picked up the wine jug, and filled Chen Yuan's cup, "All right, husband."
And so, she ate her meal while watching Chen Yuan and Grandpa drink and eat, chatting away.
Grandpa spoke in pure dialect, and given the elder's rapid speech in dialect, Chen Yuan probably couldn't quite understand. Whatever Grandpa said, Chen Yuan just lifted his cup.
Resting her hand on her forehead, Xia Xinyu had a bad feeling...
The New Year's Eve dinner concluded just like that.
After helping Grandpa to his room, Xia Xinyu went to wash the dishes, only to return and find Chen Yuan slumped over the table.
"Who is Chen Yuan's favorite girl?"
Xia Xinyu stood to the side and asked.
Buried in his arms on the table, Chen Yuan mumbled somewhat groggily, "Of course, it's Yu Zi."
