The East Sea International Convention and Exhibition Center is located on Pudong Riverside Avenue, facing the famous architectural complex of the Bund across the river, and together with the Oriental Pearl and Jinmao Tower, it forms a renowned landscape of the Lujiazui area.
At half past seven in the morning, a series of police cars, sirens blaring, arrived at the East Sea International Convention and Exhibition Center. Soon after, hundreds of police officers set up security cordons nearby, dispersing the crowds in the vicinity.
Not only that, in order to ensure the security of the meeting, the East Sea Armed Police Force also dispatched six companies of soldiers to seal off the streets surrounding the convention center, presenting a formidable show of force.
The journalists who had been waiting early outside the convention center were not dispersed by the police, but instead showed their invitations to enter the building.
