This meeting, known as the most disgraceful in Mafia history, lasted from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The participants spent all the time in the venue, except for a working lunch at noon.
The reason the meeting lasted so long was entirely because after Chen Fan eliminated the Lucches Family and the Colombo family, the pattern of the American Mafia and even the entire United States' underworld changed, causing many Mafia families to have disagreements over territory and profit distribution.
Chen Fan, who was elected as the Honorary Chairman of the American Mafia Committee, wasn't particularly interested in the content of the meeting, but holding such a position, even if he didn't seek to govern, he had to do the superficial work properly—he insisted on staying until the end of the meeting.
