In the twilight hour, as the sun gradually lowered, the western sky was painted a radiant red, akin to fire-lit clouds, splendid and captivating.
It was Friday, and dinner time was approaching. Boys could be seen waiting for their girlfriends outside the dormitory at East Sea University. Anytime a girl walked out of the dormitory, the boys would automatically turn their gaze in her direction.
Most of the time, boys would approach girls who were coming down. Some remained where they were and did not move forward to greet their girlfriends, presumably to show off or satisfy their vanity in front of the other boys.
For the boys anxiously waiting for their girlfriends, such actions were far from gratifying, especially when the girls getting this special treatment were no match to their own in terms of looks or figure. They'd inwardly mutter, "Damn, why the hell are they showing off with such ugly dates?"
