The Hongjiang Provincial Committee's guesthouse was located just behind the Red River Hotel. Passing through a small gate, one would enter an unexpectedly serene area where the shade of green trees loomed over winding pebble-strewn paths set among clusters of vibrant flowers. Clearly, the landscape had been thoughtfully designed.
Since the establishment of the PRC, the Hongjiang Provincial Committee had been based here, and although the buildings had been renovated and rebuilt since, the well-established greenery testified to a rich historical heritage.
"Secretary, currently there are eight courtyards in the provincial committee's guesthouse. We have arranged Courtyard No. 1 for you. On ordinary days, after work, you can take a walk in the garden, do some exercises, and by turning left from here, it's less than three hundred meters to reach the provincial committee building," Xu Hongzhuan was very familiar with the place and gave a detailed introduction.
