The preparatory meeting of the two sessions of Hongjiang Province started on January 9th. It formally opened on the 11th, lasted seven days, and successfully closed on January 18th. In this session, the new leadership of the Hongjiang Provincial Committee was unveiled.
The adjustments were not too drastic, among which, the most critical was Wen Baogui taking the position of governor of Hongjiang Province, former Head of the Organization Department Qin Guanghan being promoted to full-time Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee, Minister of Propaganda Li Wei being transferred to head the Organization Department, and Wei Lin becoming the new Minister of Propaganda. There were no other changes to the standing committee.
