Like a deferential grandson, Mr. Jiu hurried to welcome him at the doorway.
To Mr. Jiu's surprise, he had thought Han Chen would bring many people, but following behind Han Chen were only three men.
One of them was Han Chen's flunky, whom Mr. Jiu had seen once in the provincial city. This flunky, named Kong Kang, took advantage of his boss's presence to throw his weight around, which made him quite unpopular.
The other two men were strangers, about twenty-five or twenty-six years old, if not for a mole on the chin of the one on the left, Mr. Jiu might have mistaken them for one person. They looked so similar, almost as if they were carved from the same mold, and were probably twin brothers. The eerie aura emanating from them made Mr. Jiu quite uncomfortable.
"Mr. Han, my apologies for not greeting you further out, please come in," Mr. Jiu warmly beckoned.
