In a private dining room at the Xiangjiang Hotel, the atmosphere was rather oppressive. Only Li Huai seemed untroubled, happily enjoying his meal. Chung Jingfeng and Zhang Han, along with Ling Xiang who had just taken a seat, hadn't even touched their chopsticks.
Ling Xiang's eyes were tinged with red, as she obviously had been crying. It was understandable that she felt aggrieved as she had been held hostage at knifepoint by Li Shaobai, and Li Huai hadn't saved her.
If it was intentional on Li Huai's part, to make it seem like he didn't care about Ling Xiang, it would likely cause Li Shaobai to stop threatening him with her, and she could escape danger. Shouldn't Li Huai have then explained this to Ling Xiang, or apologized to her?
However, Li Huai did neither, acting as if nothing had happened. Zhang Han couldn't contain his frustration anymore and finally blurted out, "Huai, I think you owe Ling Xiang an apology!"
