Although Li Huai and Zhou Lan only shared a brief acquaintanceship, hardly enough to be considered friends, Zhou Lan did indeed lend a hand when Zhang Zhuochang and Cao Qianqin fabricated accusations against Li Huai. Regardless of whether Li Huai resolved the issue through violence, or credit was owed to Zhou Lan, Li Huai felt indebted to her in some way.
Therefore, even though Li Huai didn't entirely agree to help Zhou Lan, he didn't outright refuse her either. Instead, he informed her of his current location over the phone. Whether to assist Zhou Lan or not would be decided after she showed up.
What a coincidence, Zhou Lan happened to be near the coffee shop. Just a few minutes after hanging up the phone, she hurried over in her car. By then, Bao Xiong hadn't left yet.
