At dusk, Li Huai and the others arrived at Liang County.
The setting sun glowed red in the west, a dream-like beauty.
The mountains here, the water, even the air, were a world apart from the smoggy environment of Jianghai. Li Huai felt a sort of fondness for it all.
"I must come back someday, and bring my sister and wife along," Li Huai stepped forward, and the four people, together with Meng Baichuan, entered a hotel in the town.
After a hearty meal and drinks, it was already past nine in the evening. To prevent Meng Baichuan from escaping, they booked four rooms, one each for Li Huai, Qian Jun, and Shen Yingtian. Fu Guosheng was put in charge of watching over Meng Baichuan.
Before bedtime, to avoid arousing the suspicion of Meng Baichuan's men, Li Huai had Meng Baichuan call Tao Jin. He roughly explained that he had arrived in Liang County and ran into an old flame. They were going to 'catch up' and he would direct the upcoming days' purchases over the phone.
