Li Huai and Bai Qing chose a lively seafood restaurant; the food was quite decent, so the business was naturally thriving.
Halfway through the meal, Bai Qing glanced outside the window and immediately got up, saying, "Li Huai, keep eating. I am going to buy something."
What on earth was Bai Qing going to buy that was so urgent? It seemed as if missing it now would mean missing it forever.
Li Huai didn't ask much. He just continued eating and watched Bai Qing leave the restaurant and walk towards a small stand. The stall owner was an old man selling apples.
Bai Qing bought a few pounds of apples, and when she came back, she excitedly declared, "I haven't seen this old man in a while. His apples are the cheapest and sweetest in the whole of Jianghai!"
"Give me one." Li Huai stretched out his hand.
"You want one now? Let me wash it for you." Bai Qing picked up an apple and was about to get up, but seeing Li Huai shaking his head, she could only pass the apple over.
