Upon hearing the scream, Zhou Min's face turned pale with fright. He took a look outside, but he couldn't see anything in the darkness. He figured that the ones who screamed must be the men he had hired. Could it be a case of dog eats dog? Regardless, he needed to leave this place of conflict immediately.
Zhou Min started the car, and only when the headlights came on could he see the situation within the alley. A few rubbish bins lay haphazardly, filled to the brim with garbage, emitting a nauseating smell.
A meow echoed.
Suddenly, a stray cat darted down from the top of the wall, startling Zhou Min and causing him to break out in a cold sweat.
The stray cat turned its face towards the headlights, its green eyes shimmering eerily.
"Fuck! Get lost, you damned cat!" Zhou Min cursed, successfully scaring the stray cat away.
