"I used to be a soldier!"
Perhaps because he had suppressed his feelings for too long, Qian Jun needed someone to confide in, and so he suddenly opened up.
Qian Jun took a swig of liquor, wanting to smoke. He felt around every pocket but couldn't find a lighter.
Li Huai tossed him a lighter, saying, "I'm a boss, I never light cigarettes for my subordinates. Light it yourself."
Qian Jun couldn't help laughing. This young man was truly unique.
Qian Jun picked up the lighter, lit his cigarette, and took a deep puff. He seemed to sink into his memories, remarking, "A hero does not dwell on his past. I won't elaborate on my glory days in the army, lest you think I'm showing off."
Qian Jun was not one to bluster. If he said this, it attested to how distinguished his time in the army was.
