In the dark night, lights shone brilliantly in the distance, yet only a few dim spots lit the immediate surroundings. Two black sedans wove their way up a desolate hillside highway, climbing along the asphalt road like fluorescent blood through veins, striking in their singularity.
A white building stood stark atop the steep summit, its folded tower shape jutting into the night, glaringly conspicuous. Beneath the sloping walls, two black sedans turned off their lights and came to a slow stop in the darkness, from which several men in black stepped out first. They were dressed plainly, with bulging waists that clearly concealed weapons for self-defense. They looked around before opening the car doors.
