After hanging up the phone, Yves King's excitement was evident on his face. He was in a hurry to leave and greet an old friend he hadn't seen in a while, and he had no desire to stick around and deal with the current situation. Just as he was about to leave, he paused and decided it would be more appropriate to tell Faye Owen about his abrupt departure. Raising his voice towards the other room, he exclaimed, "Faye, sorry for keeping it short, but my buddy just arrived, and I can't stay here. I'll head to the airport right away. Consider yourself off the hook and spared from my teasing. Be sure to stay home for dinner tonight, and also, lend me your car keys, alright?"
With that said, Yves King, all while humming a cheerful tune, found Faye's car keys on the table, grabbed them, and hurried out the door.
