As anticipated, Faye Owen faltered for a moment, but soon continued with a feigned smile, "That would be quite nice. Yves King indeed has a knack for cracking jokes and making girls happy. If you really like it, let him keep you company. Vivi, make him answer the phone."
Yves King took the phone from Vivi Fisher apprehensively, and then to the person on the other side of the line, he said with an awkward chuckle and flattery, "President, any business with me?"
"Cracking jokes and cheering up Vivi?" There was a hint of concealed malice in Faye Owen's sweet and calm voice: "Since you like telling jokes so much, why not tell me one and make me laugh now?"
