Basil Jaak's fingers rested on the smooth wrist of Xenia Wendleton as he closed his eyes and concentrated, taking her pulse in detail.
Just seconds later, Basil Jaak felt the abnormality in Xenia's pulse: it was wildly intense! The frequency was the same as that of an ordinary person, but the pounding was tremendously powerful!
"Girl, do you feel as if there's a surge of heat rampaging inside your body?" Basil Jaak asked intently.
"Yes, it's very hot, like a fish darting about below my belly. It feels somewhat painful and a bit scorching." Xenia slightly closed her eyes, tuning in to the sensation the energy flow brought her.
That sensation was almost identical to what Basil Jaak felt in his body. However, having experienced it more and being an Ancient Martial Arts master, he could keenly detect the anomaly in his body and could suppress that formidable energy flow back into the Sea of Qi in the Dantian, converting the energy emanated by the flow into his own.
