Lydia White, exhausted, was lying on the couch, enjoying the comfort it provided.
Out of nowhere, Basil Jaak came over, and with one hand, he slipped it around her petite waist.
Lydia's heart inexplicably tightened, and she hastily reached out, wanting to knock Basil's hand away, but she did not succeed and eventually gave up.
"How do you feel about becoming the head of the company?" Basil asked as he sat down on the couch next to Lydia.
Lydia didn't stop Basil's actions, instead, she opened her eyes, turned her head to look at him, and asked in confusion, "What...what did you just say?"
Basil rolled his eyes and said somewhat gloomily, "I just asked you, how does it feel to be the one in charge?"
"Oh, you're asking about that!" Lydia raised her head, stared at the office ceiling as she thought carefully, then looked straight at Basil and said seriously, "It's only the first day, what kind of feeling can there be to speak of?"
