"1.1 billion, that's the least we can accept," Alva said firmly.
Basil Jaak shook his head, "One billion, not one penny more, or else please, Director Tiarks, find someone else who is more capable."
"One billion fifty million!" Alva countered.
Basil Jaak remained seated and silent, just sipping his tea without a word.
Eventually, Alva could not sit still any longer. He slammed his hand heavily on the table angrily, startling Jessica Flack who was sitting beside him, but Basil Jaak just calmly continued to drink his tea.
Alva said angrily, "Basil, isn't this a bit unreasonable of you?"
Basil Jaak slowly looked up and smiled at Alva, "In business, we talk business! If this was my own money, it wouldn't matter if it was several tens of millions or even one hundred million, but this money belongs to the Cloud Shadow Company, and I am merely a representative. Mr. Flack is sitting right next to us, how can you expect me to cheat my own company?"
