The people present had tasted Basil Jaak's delicious cooking and had all but forgotten about the bet. Now recalling it, the person who had bet with Basil Jaak had already disappeared without a trace.
"Ah, that guy ran away!"
"Hey, that guy was about to lose, of course he ran!"
"Hmph, running after losing, he's not a real man. Let's all despise him together."
Linda pouted unhappily and said grumpily, "There really are such shameless people in the world."
"Forget it, I don't have time to bother with him. Hurry up and eat, so we can go down the mountain after we're done," Basil Jaak shook his head and said to Linda.
"Okay!" Linda agreed with a nod, picking up a piece of meat with her chopsticks and putting it in her mouth. Although the meat was grilled well, it tasted bland compared to the meat Basil Jaak had cooked. She just settled for eating it.
The manager came over and called out to Basil Jaak and Linda, "Excuse me for a moment. I'm the manager here, and my last name is Du."
