"Jaak, Flack, your seats are at the table on the far left inside." Ula said to Jessica Flack and Basil Jaak, "I won't accompany you in."
"You go ahead with your work, we can manage on our own." Jessica Flack replied gracefully.
Once Ula left, Basil Jaak and Jessica Flack walked in alone.
"Looks like you have a good relationship with Ahern!" Jessica Flack spoke, her lips curling into a smile.
Basil Jaak shook his head, "I helped Ahern get out of prison and subsequently ascend to the position of Dragon Gang's Head. In return, he helped me topple Alger. Our relationship is as simple as that."
"So, earlier when he and you…" Jessica Flack's voice trailed off before realization dawned. "You and Ahern were simply putting on a show for others?"
