Basil Jaak saw the doctor coming out of the operating room and hurried to ask, "Doctor, how is the patient doing?"
The doctor slowly removed his mask, and said to Basil, "The patient has basically escaped the danger of death, but due to her weak constitution and excessive blood loss, she is still in a coma."
Basil Jaak had been elated on hearing that Bonnie was out of danger, feeling as though a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders. But the doctor's last sentence caused his heart, which had just relaxed, to instantly shoot back up to his throat. He urgently asked, "Doctor, is she going to be okay?"
Seeing how nervous Basil was, the doctor couldn't help but smile, "You don't need to be so anxious for your girlfriend. As I said before, she has escaped the danger. The only reason she is unconscious is because of her weak constitution and blood loss. I have already arranged for the nurse to give her a blood transfusion."
