In the early morning, a ray of sunlight shone through the window, leaving a series of dark spots on Basil Jaak's bed.
The cellphone by his pillow suddenly rang, interrupting Basil Jaak's peaceful sleep.
"Lazybones, still sleeping?" Xenia Wendleton's silvery voice came from the phone, instantly perking up Basil Jaak.
While getting dressed, Basil Jaak laughingly asked, "How come Miss Wendleton took time out of her busy schedule to call me?"
"Ah!" Xenia Wendleton sighed pretentiously, "Who told this little girl to have a favor to ask, huh?"
Basil Jaak chuckled and said, "Let me hear about it, I might just agree if I'm in a good mood!"
Xenia Wendleton laughingly replied, "You must agree to this! I'm coming back today, and you have to pick me up at the freeway exit."
"Just this?"
"What else did you think it could be?"
"Alright then, I'll be at the freeway exit awaiting Miss Wendleton's grand arrival."
"Hee hee..."
After a burst of hearty laughter, both hung up the phone.
