Basil Jaak gradually moved back until he was backed into a corner. He then gestured towards Dawn Sutton, inquiring if such a distance was acceptable.
Dawn Sutton observed how Jaak had truly retreated to the corner of the room. She then slowly made her way over from the windowsill, her vigilance never waning. She watched Jaak closely, always maintaining a distance of five or six steps between them.
Returning after such a long time, it was Jaak's first encounter with a woman who was so cautious around men. Not knowing what to say, he nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and grinned, "Miss Sutton, I think you should shift your attention from me to figuring out how we can get out of this restroom. If we get caught here, that's when we'll really be in trouble."
