Basil Jaak had just finished eating with Dawn Sutton when Yetta Astir called.
"Hello, Basil, where are you now? I've just received the latest intelligence report, come over immediately," Yetta shouted over the phone.
"Understood, I'll be there soon," Basil replied, hanging up the call without further ado. He turned to Dawn Sutton and said, "Miss Sutton, I have to step out for a bit, I'll leave the dishes on the table to you."
Dawn Sutton frowned and said, "Going out again? You're not doing something you shouldn't to my sister, are you?"
"How could I? You're thinking too much. It's work-related, I'll be back soon," Basil thought to himself that Betsy wasn't around during this period, and he hadn't visited Mr. Flack yet. Miss Sutton's reminder had indeed sparked a real interest.
Basil drove down to Yetta's apartment, and they met at the entrance and went up together.
