After finishing his smoke in the bathroom, Basil Jaak saw Yetta Astir chatting with a group of people. He didn't interrupt them, but simply walked to a corner to enjoy some fruit by himself.
"Haha, I thought you looked familiar! It's really you!" An irritating snicker came from behind him. Turning around, Basil saw Enoch, his hands on his hips and his usual smug expression on his face.
"Just my luck." Basil shook his head helplessly.
Basil's voice was not soft, and Enoch glared at him, demanding, "What did you say?"
"If you're hard of hearing, you'd better stay home." Basil didn't want to stoop to Enoch's level. Seeing that Yetta was now alone, he turned and headed her way.
Enoch blocked Basil's path, sneering, "You think you can insult me and just walk away?"
Basil chuckled, "Did I insult you?"
