"I'll take that bet. I don't believe you can do it without a moving company." Dawn Sutton immediately decided.
Dawn was usually a cold character, not the type to engage in arguments. Yet thinking about the embarrassing scene before and her mother's favoritism towards Basil Jakk, she felt like an unloved child. This instantly fired up her competitive spirit.
Basil chuckled, thinking you are indeed too naive, triggered so easily, falling right into this handsome guy's scheme.
"If I manage to move in without a moving company, I win. On the other hand, if I do hire a company, then I lose." Noticing no objections from Dawn, Basil asked, "What should we bet?"
That's the crux of the bet!
Dawn frowned in deep thought, "If we bet money, it would be meaningless. What can we bet to frustrate him and vent my frustration? This is not an easy choice."
Basil was also deciding what the stakes should be, something reasonable but a lesson for Dawn.
