"Is this your car?" Carol stared, taking a while to recover from her shock.
Dawn silently nodded.
"How is it possible, how is it possible? How could a security guard afford such a luxury car?" Carol pinched herself hard. The piercing pain cruelly told her this was a harsh reality.
Leila snapped out of her shock and narrows her eyes at Basil's Maserati, nodding vigorously: "Carol, indeed, it can only sit two people. Why don't you take my car back?"
Carol, recalling that she just called Basil's car an electric car, wished she could slap herself. She quickly interrupted before Leila could finish, "I just remembered I left something on the seat. I need to go back and get it, you guys go ahead."
"No, I have nothing urgent this afternoon, I'll wait for you." Leila said with a smile.
"No need, you should go. I might have to catch up with you later." Carol quickly declined.
Leila looked at her seriously and asked, "So we're not waiting for you?"
