As he spoke, he ignored Cai Wei's objections, seized her small hand, and led it to his chest.
His chest was broad and stiff, like a rock, causing her hand to hurt from the impact.
"Let go!"
Crying out in pain, Cai Wei pulled a grimace.
Saknu was reluctant to release her. The little hand he held in his palm was white, delicate, and supple as if boneless - unbelievably soft to the touch and so pleasant that he didn't want to let it go.
"Are you still angry?" he asked.
With her eyes watery, Cai Wei responded resentfully, "What's the difference whether I'm angry or not?"
Chuckling, Saknu pointed to his chest: "If you're angry, keep hitting me until you've vented all your anger. If not, give me a smile."
Smile at him? What an absurd logic!
Aghast at his nonsense, Cai Wei gaped at him, momentarily forgetting even to cry.
Kneeling midway in front of her, Saknu held Cai Wei's hand, gazing at her with adoration, awaiting her punch or a smile.
