Su Ningyan nodded, then glanced at Zhuo Junyue, afraid that it wouldn't be so easy for Lord Zhuo to let things slide.
She looked at their daughter, dirty all over with several rips in her clothes.
She didn't dare to imagine how they had managed to escape last night.
"An An, Mommy will take you upstairs for a bath and clean clothes, then we'll come down for dinner."
Zhuo Junyue and Su Ningyan were both worried if there were any injuries on her that the little one wasn't telling them about.
Upon returning to their room, Zhuo Junyue prepared the bathwater as Su Ningyan gathered the clothes.
After undressing their daughter, they both inspected her carefully and, other than some scraped skin, there were no other major issues.
"An An, those people didn't bully you last night, did they?"
"Mommy, they really didn't. Uncle carried me for a long walk. Daddy, can you let Uncle go later?"
The little one still remembered the incident and gave Zhuo Junyue an expectant look.
