This left Han Dongchen heartbroken. No matter what he tried, Su Xiaowan was adamant about going through with their pretend divorce.
Due to their strained relationship, Han Dongchen had been coming home less often. Su Xiaowan noticed that he used to be home five days a week.
By the second week, he only spent three days at home.
It was now the weekend and Han Dongchen had not yet returned, giving Su Xiaowan cause for a heavy sigh.
What Su Xiaowan didn't know was that, out of her sight, Han Dongchen had been incredibly busy. When he finally returned, it was already late Monday evening.
After a week without seeing Han Dongchen, Su Xiaowan missed him terribly. She couldn't bring herself to discuss the notion of a pretend divorce.
Han Dongchen seemed unchanged, treating Su Xiaowan with his usual kindness. He had also missed her over the week, unable to stop himself from holding her.
