Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Dragging Her into the Car_1

Shang Jingchen's voice had gone ice-cold.

Ye Lu felt like if she resisted any more, this man might not be able to restrain himself from beating her.

Being aware of her predicament, she had no choice but to get in the car.

The sports car sped away, leaving a trail of dust behind.

Throughout the journey, Jingchen raced the car with a face as frosty as ice, without uttering a single word.

But Ye Lu didn't dare to let her guard down, she anxiously leaned against the car door, as she had often heard that the wealthier a person is, the more perverse they become.

Clearly this golden turtle, wasn't a good guy.

If he dared to do anything inappropriate, she would give it all to fight back.

"What's with this defensive posture? Afraid I'll do something to you? Women like you would probably be thrilled if I did," Jingchen laughed derisively while looking at Ye Lu, her arms crossed over her chest in a protective gesture.

"Don't flatter yourself," Ye Lu snapped back. "Do you really think you're so irresistible that every woman falls for you?"

Even if he was tall, rich, and handsome, he was still the worst of the lot.

Being handsome didn't matter when he had such a bitter and harsh personality - an absolute turn-off.

"It's ironic hearing that from a gold-digger like you. You don't appreciate my looks or my wealth? Still confident after just worming your way into a high-end club to snag some rich old guy, what's there for you to be sanctimonious about?"

Ye Lu's face blanched, rendering her speechless.

Money was indeed an irresistible force, especially when one was desperate.

"Yes, so what if I'm after rich old men? You, a man who knows nothing of hardship, can go ahead and laugh. But what makes you so amazing? The only difference between us is who had a better luck at birth. If you were in my place, you might not be any better than I am," she retorted icily, averting her gaze.

"Quite sharp-tongued, aren't you?" Jingchen uttered a cold laugh then fell silent.

After aimlessly driving around for an hour, Shang Jing swung his steering wheel and slid into a bustling bar street.

"I'm not going," Ye Lu immediately protested.

This place was too chaotic.

"I'll give you ten thousand yuan to drink with me, will you come then?"

10,000 yuan? Ye Lu's eyes sparkled with gold, her heart pounding. It was the amount she would earn from two or three months of part-time work!

Damn you, golden turtle, for enticing me like this.

"Anything beyond accompanying you and I won't do it."

Jingchen slanted a look at her, "Don't flatter yourself; even if women were presented naked at my doorstep, it wouldn't be your turn."

The two of them walked into a large, bustling bar where the blaring music was creating a roaring sensation in the eardrums. The dance floor pulsed with young men and women dancing wildly under the radiating laser lights. The scene was dizzying.

"Why are we here?" Ye Lu questioned, puzzled. Instead of these chaotic bars, wouldn't these rich young masters usually choose high-end ones?

Shang Jing languidly replied with two words.

"Loud enough." Loud enough to drown out any thoughts.

Ye Lu was speechless. This wasn't just loud, it felt like a mix of an earthquake and a tsunami, it was deafening.

Instead of finding a private booth, they sat at the bar. Jingchen ordered some strong foreign liquor while Ye Lu, not daring to drink alcohol, ordered a glass of juice.

Jingchen opened his bottle of liquor, an ironic smile playing in his long, beautiful eyes as he saw her drinking juice. "You come to a bar and order juice, that's a typical gold-digger move, very fitting."

"I'm not arguing with a twisted-minded person like you."

"Who are you calling twisted-minded?" Not knowing what had aggravated him, Jingchen suddenly lunged at her, pinned her against the bar counter, and gripped her throat. His eyes were cold and bone-chilling.

Ye Lu jumped in fright, feeling her heart shudder under his terrifying gaze.

"Dare to say that word again and you'll die a horrible death," Jingchen loosened his grip and coldly retreated back into his seat, tilting his head to drink his liquor.

Ye Lu, rubbing the red marks on her neck, felt a lingering fear.
