Chen Jing was rather confused. What did that girl Ying'er not understand? She was becoming more and more like an old gossipy woman.
After having the recent misidentification over the phone, Chen Jing first glanced at the incoming call display, confirming it was not her daughter. She then assumed it was a customer calling to reserve a table.
"Hello, welcome to Quiet Private Restaurant!"
"Why did you hang up on me?" Again came the voice of Luo Yifan from the other end of the phone.
Chen Jing's heart started to race suddenly. She took a deep breath before responding.
"I didn't hang up on you, my phone slipped and broke, it turned off, and I can't turn it back on right now."
Chen Jing's explanation sounded like an excuse, but it was the truth.
