"Mom!"
The call from Zhu Qianying interrupted Chen Jing's thoughts.
"Hm?" Chen Jing turned her head to look at her daughter.
"Dinner's ready!" Zhu Qianying, supporting her by the shoulder, led her out of the kitchen.
The servant had already set the table, but Chen Jing was nowhere to be seen. Zhu Qianying was getting worried, and decided to check on her.
Sure enough, she found her mother standing in front of the kitchen counter, holding the phone, staring blankly at the cabinet, lost in her thoughts.
Probably, she was thinking about the situation with her uncle again.
"Mom, how about we go for a walk after dinner, okay?"
