At six o'clock, the little bundle atop the bed twitched. Then, a small head popped out from under the blankets. Without even opening his eyes, he cried out in a loud, clear voice.
"Daddy! Mommy!"
Probably because he had cried too much during the day, his voice was extremely hoarse.
Yan Han and Zhu Qianying, who happen to be sitting on the bed, heard his shouting and immediately came over to him. "Baby, we're here."
The little boy rubbed his still swollen eyes and looked at Yan Han and then Zhu Qianying.
When he saw Zhu Qianying's swollen eyes, he was first taken aback, and then his eyes became red. He reached out his little hand to touch Zhu Qianying's eyelid, "Mommy, why did you cry?"
Zhu Qianying held his little hand, brought it to her mouth and gave it a gentle nibble. She admitted,
"Yes, Mommy did cry". Zhu Qianying knew that she wasn't a goddess and therefore could experience happiness, anger, sadness and joy.
