Zhou Sinian thought for a moment before interrupting without giving his caller a chance to respond, "Mr. Sheng, I'm grateful for the information you've shared with me. You've allowed me to see a different side of Ye Nanxun."
"And I think I've figured out your real intention."
"I must apologize as I cannot agree to your request," he continued.
"I agree that it would be a great loss if Ye Nanxun stopped her research."
"But I prefer to respect her own wishes. Still, I will find an opportunity to discuss your proposal with her. Nonetheless, I hope you can respect her decision, whatever it may be."
After expressing his gratitude once more, he hung up the phone.
Zhou Sinian did not return to his trailer immediately. Instead, he turned slowly around, his intense gaze resting on Ye Nanxun's trailer for what seemed like an eternity before he started walking towards it, one step at a time.
