"Wash the dishes!"
After Shen Xian finished her last bite of food, she met Gu Chen's challenging gaze and commanded.
Gu Chen was obedient, nodding repeatedly, "Okay."
Shen Xian wasn't sure that a man who couldn't wash a single vegetable could wash dishes, so she followed him into the kitchen.
Gu Chen consciously put on an apron and even turned to have Shen Xian help him tie it.
"Are you sure you know how to wash dishes?"
"Of course!"
Gu Chen, confident of victory, his tall and upright figure out of place in the kitchen, washed the dishes with great care nonetheless.
"Don't use too much dish soap, Mr. Gu Chen."
Shen Xian ultimately couldn't rest easy and leaned against the doorway watching him, his large hands deftly cleaning in the sink.
Too much dish soap had been used, creating a sink full of suds.
"I know, I just feel like using more makes them cleaner."
Gu Chen stubbornly tried to justify his actions.
