Shen Xian placed the tray on the dining table and pushed it toward Gu Chen.
"I wanted to make you some Ginger Brown Sugar Water, but... I couldn't find any, so I used the ingredients from the fridge and made you a bowl of noodles. Maybe it'll warm you up after eating."
Gu Chen looked down, at a bowl of clear broth noodles on the table adorned with green lettuce and topped with a poached egg--very light.
"I'm actually quite hungry."
Gu Chen put down his towel, pulled out a stool, and sat down, eating without any reservation.
Watching the simply garnished noodles, which tasted extremely good, Gu Chen thought that perhaps he really was hungry, or else how could a simple bowl of noodles taste this delicious.
Shen Xian quietly sat down beside him, watching Gu Chen eat with relish, a smile inevitably tinting her eyes.
Gu Chen felt her gaze and looked up at her.
"Is it tasty?" Shen Xian's eyes sparkled as she asked him expectantly.
