Having said that, Shen Xian hurriedly left with her bag before the two could stop her.
"Shen Xian!"
"Sen, senior."
Two voices called out simultaneously behind her. Shen Xian did not look back, her eyes fixed firmly on the Restaurant's exit.
Perhaps it was the clear goal in her eyes, or perhaps it was the chill emanating from her, but passersby instinctively gave way, leaving the main passage clear for her.
Behind her, Zhou Mu and Shu Yan silently stared at the table, no longer speaking as Shen Xian strode out of the Restaurant like a gust of wind.
After she left the Restaurant, Shen Xian felt an overwhelming suffocation. It wasn't until the cold air hit her face that she realized how hard she had been controlling her emotions; she had almost forgotten to breathe.
She took two deep breaths of the cold air, and her brain, along with the numbness in her scalp, became much clearer.
"Shen Xian, you coward," she whispered to her own shadow as she looked down.
