"Okay."
Gu Chen obediently agreed.
Shen Xian watched his lonely figure turn around and walk away slowly before he went upstairs.
When he got home, Shen Xian, as if possessed, turned on the lights, and then moved to the balcony to look out over the community's fencing.
It was a long time before Gu Chen walked back to his car; he got in, but he didn't leave right away.
However long he sat in the car, Shen Xian watched from above.
That night, Shen Xian had a dream. She dreamed that Gu Chen was trapped among a pile of bombs, and she, as if playing a level-clearing game, defused them one by one. A ticking timer echoed in her ears; she was sweating profusely with effort, but the bombs just multiplied.
Gu Chen sat in the middle of the bombs, watching her and smiling. He said to her, "Don't be afraid."
Just when she finally got a bit closer to him, the bomb around Gu Chen's neck suddenly started a countdown, rapidly ticking away seconds, and she started to cry desperately.
