Jian Group, CEO's office, the supervisor from the R&D Department voluntarily knocked on her door.
"Please, have a seat." Li Wenyu politely invited.
The manager sat restlessly, his eyes evading hers, as if afraid his secret would be discovered.
Li Wenyu waited a while, but the man did not speak.
"If you don't feel comfortable talking now, you can return to your office and come by whenever you're ready to speak." Li Wenyu suggested, preparing to return to her work.
Finally plucking up the courage, the supervisor said, "Do you believe in ghosts, CEO?"
The abrupt question caught Li Wenyu off guard for a few seconds before she replied.
"I've never been one to believe in spirits or ghosts," she answered calmly, much to the supervisor's relief. However, her next words caught him off guard. "But I've heard from the older folks that a guilty person is often haunted by the ghost of the person they've wronged."
