At that moment, her phone rang in her pocket. She checked the caller ID to see it was Tang Yishen. Hastily, she silenced the call.
She couldn't risk Jiang She finding out. Although he appeared gentle and affable, he was, in fact, extremely astute.
Shen Wei didn't want the relationship she had painstakingly built to crumble because of a single phone call.
"Why didn't you answer your phone?" Jiang She asked curiously.
"It's a spam call. Since I've purchased some things online, my personal information was leaked. I've been plagued with random calls, such a nuisance." Shen Wei came up with a justification on the fly.
Jiang She looked slightly taken aback, having never experienced such a scenario.
Out of concern, Jiang She offered to help, "Should I sort this out for you?"
