Wen Zhiyao quickly stuffed a steamed bun into her mouth, grabbed her coat and bag, and left the apartment straight away.
"I'm going to be late for work, so I'm leaving first." She mumbled, her mouth full of bun.
But after running just a few steps, she was caught by Jiang She who pulled her back to the dining table by her collar.
To Jiang She, this was a normal situation, but Wen Zhiyao felt that the atmosphere between them had become increasingly awkward and tense.
So awkward, in fact, that it could "produce" a three-bedroom, two-bath setup.
"You've had enough to eat, but I haven't. You should eat with me, then go to the office with me. Even if you're late, no one's going to dock your pay. Aren't real estate people supposed to be flexible?"
Jiang She made a pointed remark. After all, they usually had to visit construction sites and check out the work in progress.
Wen Zhiyao glanced at Jiang She, her tone full of teasing, "Is Mr. Jiang teaching me how to lie?"
