Suizi had just reached for the light cord when she heard a massive explosion.
The noise startled Yu Jingting awake from the bed.
"What's the matter?" Yu Jingting asked Suizi, his reaction much faster than hers, immediately sensing something was wrong.
"Damn, why is there so much smoke?"
Only then did Suizi realize that what had been clouding her vision was smoke drifting in from the outside.
"Is it on fire?" Suizi asked in a panic.
Without answering, Yu Jingting rushed to the bathroom, soaked a towel in water, and came back out, tossing it to Suizi, signaling her to cover her mouth and nose.
The couple was on the second floor, which had many rooms, and theirs was at the very end.
Yu Jingting opened the door and took a glance; the corridor was full of smoke, with flames visible at the far end.
"The main entrance is probably no good to get out."
Suizi scrambled to put clothes on her body. The two of them had been quite active before bed and were without clothes on.
