"The patient's husband arrived later, and when he found out that his wife had died, he was so agitated that he decided to have a conversation with Professor Qu. Professor Qu wasn't prepared for it, and was attacked by a knife that he pulled from his clothes, injuring his arm. I arrived after the fact and got a little bit hurt while restraining him," recounted Si Chen.
Si Chen's articulation was exemplary; he described the incident clearly and calmly, even skimming over the part about his own injury as if it were a trivial matter. But the reality was far from that.
The patient's family aimed specifically to slash Professor Qu's arm with a knife. When they saw Si Chen override, they tried to slash his arm too, but Si Chen dodged, and though his arm remained unscathed, he got a knife wound in his back.
