Listening to their granddaughter talk about how she struggled with food and shelter and even had to work in the fields, Old Master Xia and Zhao Yun looked at her with sympathy, repeatedly saying how hard she had it.
Xia Yue didn't feel much under the sympathetic gaze of Old Master Xia, but it felt a bit odd being looked at that way by her grandmother, who seemed only a few years older than herself.
After chatting with them for a while, she headed back to her own courtyard.
Not long after she returned, Sena sent her a message, suggesting she also send an invitation to her mother—and whether she would come was up to her.
