Just as he entered the campus, Lin Shu bumped into the Head of Education. On seeing him, she expressed her concern:
"Teacher Lin, why were you absent yesterday? Were you feeling unwell? Your face is still red. Do you have a fever? Shouldn't you take a few more days off?"
Lin Shu covered her face with her hand, realizing that it was still red.
"No, I'm not running a fever. I guess I ran too quickly just now and didn't notice," she replied.
The education director looked at her wristwatch and said, "We still have time, no need to rush."
Lin Shu nodded in agreement and followed her into the teaching building.
The bell for the morning reading session had just rung, and it was now the students' self-study period.
Lin Shu had already applied to stop being a form tutor. Although every new teacher at this school typically takes on this role, because of her status, she had the privilege to request not to.
