As soon as Lin Shu left the coffee shop, she sent Fang Zhi a message:
"Darling, come home early, I have something important to tell you."
Fang Zhi responded almost instantly:
"Alright, I will."
Looking at Fang Zhi's text, Lin Shu's frustration from her confrontation with Su Wenjing subsided.
She was not going to be misled by this provocative woman; she would just wait for Fang Zhi to return home and explain everything.
She wanted to believe Fang Zhi; she was willing to give him a chance to explain.
Yet, that night, Fang Zhi broke his promise again.
He had promised that he wouldn't spend the night out anymore and that if he were to come home late, he would give her a heads up.
However, she found herself waiting until the wee hours of the morning with no sign of him returning home.
Lin Shu was beginning to lose faith in Fang Zhi; her sleep was disturbed as she found herself continually dwelling on the harsh words Su Wenjing had thrown at her earlier in the day.
